Men charged with marijuana trafficking

Eighty-nine baggies of marijuana and more than $17,000 in cash were seized as a result of a search conducted by the North Slope Borough Police on Monday, April 7.

An ongoing investigation into the trafficking of illegal drugs into Barrow resulted in a search warrant served at a residence, according to a statement by the police.

Tad Reich, 43, was arrested and charged with fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance.

Gregory Brower, 26, on probation for felony misconduct involving a controlled substance, was remanded by a probation officer for violation of conditions of release.

Police said the investigation continues, and additional arrests are expected.
