The Barrow Whalers continued their recent hot swing this past weekend by grinding out a pair of wins during a three-game tour of Southeast Alaska. As a team, the Whalers won two of their three games.

Winners of four of their past six games, the Whalers kicked off their Southeast appearance with a thrilling 61-51 victory over Mt. Edgecumbe on Thursday. They followed that win with an 82-59 victory over Sitka on Friday.

The Whalers' only loss during the trip came on Saturday, as they dropped a 50-49 decision to Mt. Edgecumbe. With the two wins, Barrow improved to 4-8 for the year.
