Police seek help with hit-and-run case

The Homer Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in working a case that left a male bicyclist injured. According to HPD officials, a hit-and-run accident was reported near the intersection of Sterling Highway and Heath Street at approximately 11:17 a.m. on Sept. 11. In the incident, a male bicyclist and vehicle collided. Following the accident, the motorist left the scene. The bicyclist was transported to the hospital with injuries.

Law enforcement officials are asking for any witnesses, or anyone with information about the incident that could lead to the identification of the vehicle and driver to please contact the Homer Police Department at (907) 235-3150 or to call CrimeStoppers and leave an anonymous message at (907) 283-TIPS.
