District seeking school board student representative

The North Slope Borough School District is looking for students who might be interested in representing their peers to the board of education.

The student board representative position is open to high school students from any of the North Slope Borough schools, in any of the communities.

The student who is chosen will serve during the 2017-2018 school year. Applications, which should include a letter of interest and a resume, are due Aug. 17 by 4 p.m.

According to a post on the district's Facebook page, the board of education will conduct interviews by teleconference on Sept. 7. For more information, contact NSBSD School Board Secretary Marlana Peidlow at marlana.peidlow@nsbsd.org or 907-852-9503.
