Alaska Peninsula Corp. announces change in leadership

The Alaska Peninsula Corporation has a top official.

The corporation announced in late January that Gerrie Ann L'Heureux would replace Mary Jane Nielsen as president and chief executive officer effective Feb 1.

Nielsen retired after nearly 40 years with the company, including time spent as an administrative assistant, book keeper, general manager, and eventually president and CEO.

APC is the village corporation for South Naknek, Port Heiden, Kokhanok, Newhaven and Ugashik.

According to an announcement from corporation, L'Heureux has more than 30 years of management experience, and has worked for the corporation for 15 years.
